As they use Rogers network, some loopholes may exist (until Rogers plugs them) to get around this. If you want data check out Vergin Mobile who offer unlimited Medabytes for $7.00 per month. Alternatively get a phone with WIFI capabilities. Almost all libraries (at least in Toronto) offer free WIFI, as well as most Universities to their students on campus. If you are a student, look into the iPod Touch, large screen, works amazing with WIFI, and therefore doesn't cost me a cent in data charges.
