I myself only noticed it last month. While a step in the right direction, the competition like Public Mobile sells a Canada wide unlimited voice and text plan with 4.5 GB for $38. Every year the price goes down a dollar a month, up to 5 years. This Speakout plan with 2 GB data and nothing else goes for $31.25 and will eventually increase to $36.25.

Haven't been on the SpeakOut website in a while.

Has the larger 2 GB data only plan been around for a while? It seems for the longest time I could only get the 100 MB bolt on for $10 and had to go for a voice and data plan to get more data. The bigger data only plan looks like good value at $30 compared to the competition.
