When I go to check my voicemail the phone dials a four digit number that i accidently saved when first asked to enter my 10 digit number. I have no idea how to change this and still haven't been able to access any voice messages…
help??

This is probably a setting specific to your phone. Look up the manual for your phone online and you might be able to find out how to change the pre-programmed voice mail number. Or, just turn off your phone and call your number from a landline, pressing # when you hear your voice.
