Great news, e-mailed the speakout rep regarding any Internet access, and the reply was this
Yes it is $7.00 per month on introductory rate for the first 90 days $10.00 per month thereafter. If you are interested just dial 611 on your handset always a FREE call press 1 for customer service and they can set you up.

How well will this work on a non-speakout phone? I have taken my sim out and put it in an iphone and I am wondering if it will work.

Well it's working on my LG Phone which is non speakout but locked to Rogers!
It's pointless having unlimited on such crappy phones unless there touch and have big screens

OK I just phoned and activated it on my iPhone 3gs, will give it a try and report back on how it works.
Said wait 15 minutes and reboot phone, also you can call any time to cancel. Lady seemed a bit
unsure of answers to my questions, but we will see. I will watch the balance and see what happens.

Report back, also please e-mail speakout to keep the rate at 7 dollars, not at 10.

I've already emailed SpeakOut as I also feel the $10/month charge is way too high. I hope they re-consider.

Limited success, got wap browsing by using sim in 2610 using zmc configuration. Not sure the details of that, will see if they can be transferred to iphone.

I got WAP browsing running on my BlackBerry 8100. It's pretty limited service – doesn't seem like Opera Mini will run, which is really frustrating. I'll try it for a month or two, but my gut says that it's too restricted to be worth $10 per month.

I second this question — anyone running Opera Mini successfully on a Nokia 5130 with the new "unlimited" internet?

I need some help:
What is WAP browsing?
What is Opera browser or Opera Mini?
Sorry if it is very obvious.

Here's a read on WAP browsing:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/W…..n_Protocol
Opera browser is just that. It's a browser, just like Firefox or Internet Explorer.

opera is a web browser (Internet explorer, firefox, safari) for mobile phones. Nokia has there own web browser and from experience i can safety say that Opera is much better
both the Nokia browser and Opera are pre installed on the Nokia 5130 but sometimes these "unlimited browsing" options restrict the type of browser you can surf on

Please tell me this works with Java apps like Opera Mini. If not there's no reason to switch from Rogers as they offer the same service for $7.

I was just going to order it. I asked about it, he said $10 / mo for unlimited browsing and then data was $0.04 / KB . But, for some reason my call jumped from the customer service guy back to the automated menu again asking for options.
$0.04 / KB is really high. That's $40 / MB
I have a smartphone, so I'd be using the non-WAP data part of it. Unless there is a way to tunnel out via the WAP proxy?
Don't think I'm going to use this feature. I wonder if Roger's just gave Ztar a crappy data deal so that they could offer data to their customers.
