Can you block all incoming text messaging on a 7-11 phone?

I needed to block some spam text messages a few weeks ago, and couldn't find any way to do so. I could only find ways of redirecting text messages from specific phone numbers to a 'spam folder' in the phone. In the end, I simply tracked back to the sender and they agreed to stop sending to me.
