Is there a way with SO to receive a text message from a computer? IE; with bell i could do 5555551212@txt.bellmobility.ca and get that message as a text.

Thanks,
Daniel

As far as I know, there is no e-mail to SMS functionality (not even a third-party workaround) for Speak Out.

Hello Peter,

I found a third-party work around. It's TextMagic, but it's a paid service. It allow you a 3 text trial and mine went through just fine.

The paid size is steep unless you buy in bulk. 200 messages are 20 euro's.

If anyone has more information, it would be appreciated.

If you look at the list of countries that are supported by textmagic.com, Canada isn't on the list. Not surprisingly, neither is the US.

Quick FYI, TextMagic does not have Canada on the "menu" but I did send 3 test messages as part of the trial and all of them came through.

Just tried to sign up. Once you sign up, Textmagic has Canada on it's list, and a verification text was sent to my phone in minutes. It seems to work for Canadian cellphones. Didn't send them money so I couldn't test further.
