Has anybody successfully port out from SpeakOut to other carriers? I find myself needing more minutes and data now, looking to port to Fido. I did a search and found you'll need the account number which is the cell number and the 4 digit PIN. Question is do I need to call SpeakOut and ask to update my IMEI number to my current phone so I can give the IMEI to Fido for porting? Hopefully someone that ported out still check this forum.

You can port your number from Speakout to Fido.

To port to Fido, Fido has to do the port, but Fido needs information on your Speakout account. Give Fido whatever login and password information you use to access your Speakout account. If you do not have that, you will have to talk to a Speakout customer service rep and get that info. You should also give Fido the serial number that is on the Speakout SIM.

The phone IMEI is of no use to Fido when it comes to porting. The phone IMEI can be useful in determining if a particular phone is compatible with Fido. It already known though, because Speakout compatible phones work on Fido.

Just being curious, but what plan do you want to use with Fido?
