Hi,

Wondering if anyone has had a chance to test for open ports on the data plan.

http:// works, so that's port 80.
https:// works too, so that's probably port 443?

Any other ports open? Trying to figure out how to view a couple of IP cameras. Don't even need an mjpeg stream, a static frame would be fine.

Home internet service has but a single IP address, but a whole range of available ports. Trying to figure out how to funnel web sources from a range of ports, all through port 80.

Might not be possible, but worth asking.

With Speakout data, you have a choice of any port, as long as it is port 80! :) SSL uses port 80 also.

I heard port 8080 might also work, have not confirmed though.

I use a program called Fwink http://www.lundie.ca/fwink/ as webcam software. probably easier to make the IP cameras ip friendly, instead of trying to speakout do much. Here is a webcam I set up, to give you an idea how it works with speakout web. http://www.chebucto.ns.ca/~aa3…..ebcam.html

I upload a picture to some web space using fwink, and I use a really simple html script. Just take a look at the source on the page to give you an idea.
