Hello,

I am currently with Virgin. My needs are very minimal. Switching to Speakout looks like a good option. I am trying to do this as cheaply as possible.

It looks like the 1661 is out of stock pretty much everywhere.
Should I just shop for a speakout SIM and buy a used phone elsewhere?
What comes first? Activation or transferring the number from Virgin to speakout?

Sorry if these have been covered before. I did look around, but the material I found is a bit over my head.

Any feedback would be most welcome.

I would shop around for a sim here, because the current phones speakout sells are not very good.

You need an activated speakout sim with it's own number before you can port over your Virgin number.
