Just ported my Dad's fido prepaid to SpeakOut, FYI They now ask for the fido account number and IMEI number.
Last time I ported all I gave was my phone number and they called me on my fido phone before porting it to SO.

Which IMEI number are they asking for, the number from the Fido phone or the Speakout phone?

They asked for the account number and IMEI of the phone number you want to port to speakout. In my case the Fido phone number I want to port to SO

I just ported a Telus payasyougo number to SO. Service was fantastic!! Took 3 hours!!

I called Speakout at 1-866-310-1023 at 10 am Vancouver time. The operator asked for my Telus number, my Speakout number, telus account number (which I have as I was using monthly topup automatically with credit card), my telus PIN or voicemail passcode, and the IMEI or ESN number. As my phone is an old Audiovox, I removed the battery and found 3 numbers on the phone. None of them said IMEI or ESN so I was instructed to call Telus to determine which one it was. It was the 11-digit number which started with 09… I was told that it would take 1-3 business days. They also asked for an alternate phone number in case of a problem. I supplied my landline number. At 1pm, 3 hours later, I got a message on the SO phone that the number had been successfully ported over. No one called the telus phone to verify as I guess that I had supplied the correct passcode and account to verify that I owned the phone. Great service from SO!!
