Hi,
I just bought a fido moto renew w233 to use with my speakout sim card, but when I insert the sim card the phone asks for a "subsidy password". Is there any way around this?

Your moto renew w233 phone is locked to FIDO. The phone will need to be unlocked to work with speak out. Sadly, I know of no free way to do it. There are vendors on the net that for a fee, claim they can unlock the phone, but I do not know how reliable they are.

Unfortunately, you can not use a SpeakOut sim in a phone that's locked to Fido. However, a SpeakOut sim will work fine in a phone that's locked to Rogers.
