So I've checked out the area code matrix on the front page, but it hasn't been updated since 2008. Since then, the formerly Vancouver-only area code (778) has been opened up to the rest of the province.

I live in Victoria (250), and I was wondering if anybody had checked yet to see if a (778) call from a (250) number is still long distance or not.

I tested this out 2months ago (dialed a 778 Vancouver # from my 250 cell) and it was rated as a local call.
