Admin / Mods,

Greetings. Not the first time posting here (under my alias, HC – NO "i") but first time after the new implementation.

I wonder if any of you have noticed the problem with the display being truncated, especially using non wide screen and lower resolution like 1024x768…

Using Internet Explorer…

Using FireFox…

I understand the site, this forum is your baby, a labour of love. So I cannot asking for much. However, it is a little frustrated for me who cannot see some posts and even composing a post properly like I have brought up the issue before in http://www.speakoutwireless.ca…..ng-a-post/

Please verify if it is an isolated case or it is actually an issue. Thank you in advanced.

I have noticed this too, usually in threads that include a wide graphic like the one in your example. I'm using Firefox 3.0.15.

I can duplicate this when I resize my browser window. Seems to be a CSS issue for which the fix is not immediately obvious while maintaining semi-flexible widths. Are there any CSS gurus who can help?

I would like to have a look at the code – I am in the process of implementing the same forum software on my site (ve3we.org) and have run into a similar problem with the text editor truncating so I can't see what I've typed in.

czg416 / Peter,

Thank you both for the replies. Though I am not an expert in this field, at least you two can verify with the same the issue.

As a sub-optimal fix, I've put a CSS rule to limit image widths in posts to 380px. There is probably a better solution though.

I've had this problem from the very beginning with SOME of the posts on the forum being truncated. However, since about 2-3 days ago, ALL posts display with truncated text (regardless of the browser).

I do use a non-wide monitor with lower screen resolution (easier on my eyes) but I never had this problem with any other website before.

I wonder if there have been any changes in the site coding in the last few days?

Thanks for reporting that. It likely had to do with me experimenting with the Facebook Like button. It should be fixed now.

Yes, it's fixed now.
Thanks Peter.
