User 11v65 on this site just sent a message advertising phones for sale to every user on this site. I consider this to be spam and this will not be tolerated. 11v65's user account has been banned and I apologize to everybody on this site for the spam.

Thank you, as well, for the quick action.

I am very sorry for the latest spam incident, where user “poushi24″ asked a general question about the Speak Out Wireless service not through the forums as he/she should have, but by sending a message to all site users. For now, I am going to remove the ability for general users to use the private messaging feature.
Should we make that permanent, or is there some use for private messaging on this forum (perhaps with a limit of 1 recipient per message)?

Yes, having a limit of one (or perhaps two or three) recipients per private message seems like a very reasonable accomodation for legitimate off-forum communication. (Hmmm… I wonder how other forums handle this issue?)
