Hello,

I purchased a Nokia 2760 from 7-11 3 weeks ago. It's worked well until now. Has anyone run into the problem where when messaging, the phone switches messaging modes from text to multimedia and back when inputing a single character ? I've had this problem for 4 days now and its really frustrating. I've had no luck when it comes to cell phones (3 phones later…)

I emailed Nokia Canada and they said that it would need to be sent to Hamilton to be looked at by thier repair staff. No way am I going to send a phone to Hamilton for repair, be without it for a length of time and then have to pay postage and a possible repair fee!

I'm taking the phone back to 7'v in 2 days when I have time, to talk to the manager about it. I still have the original bill too.
I hate cell phones that don't work with me!

I have 2 of the phones.

1 works no probs, and the other has the exact same issue you are describing. VERY frustrating.

So, 7-11 got back to me and said i cannot swap the broken phone out, as 30 days had passed.

I lpugged in the serial # of the phone on the Nokia website and the website says the phone is still under warranty. So I shall have to ship it to Nokia for repairs :(

So, I had it shipped, and Nokia replaced the phone. The turn around time was very quick.

The reason for them replacing the phone was error code 291=electrical failure.

Strangely, the phone came back wih the 7-11 logo on startup etc, exactly like it was when it was sent.

anyhows…..thought I would update this thread to let those know who have the same issue, that they need the phone replaced.
