Customer service told me this. I activated the phone just now using automated voice prompts but i was not asked for referral code. CSR says phone has to be activated first before you can use referral code and you have 15 days to use referral code. This is a crap deal because I just bought $50 voucher that I could have delayed activating for 90 days.

What do I have to do to get referral codes to give to other people?

all you have to do is call customer service and ask for a referral code and they will give you one to give to someone else.
