I see someone offering the referral code more than once in a day. Isn't it you only allow to offer once a week? Could any body clarify the rule?

Thanks.

I would like to know, too. My understanding is you should only offer one code per week.

However, since it also says "effectively one code used per week", I assume if it is explicitly or implicitly implied that your code has not or will not been use then it can be re-offered in the the same week. Which would make sense since they have an expiration date.

But before the status of your code is known, one should not be allowed to offer a referral code to multiple people. Since codes must be PM'd, we can't be sure one is offering the same code and not different ones.

Could someone please verify? =)

I totally agree with you on this. No one shall offer a code to multipe people within the same week unless the code offered is declined. The person who provided the code shall state so under the thread which the code was offered, before the person can offer the code again.

May be the moderator could clarify the rule.

I find it hilarious that the "usual suspects" that have no problems responding to a request within seconds, simply ignore this one.

To answer your question…

The only rule is that you are not allowed to have more than one code REDEEMED in a period of seven days. As to how often you supply a code, that is kind of a gray area. It has been my experience that many "requestors" will not apply a code for 2-3 days, however very few will apply them after 3 days. Being the honest person that I am, I will wait at least 3 days before supplying to someone else. If the code happens to be approaching the 15 day mark, I'll attempt to supply it to whoever requests it so as it won't go to waste. I'll also make that very clear to the person requesting it.

That said, I suppose that if you are not an honest civil person, you could simply supply your code as many times as you like to as many people as you like. There is no rule against that, but understand the embarrassment when a new user supplies 2 or 3 used codes to Speakout before getting an unused one.

As for only being able to supply one code per week? The "cheats" in this forum are plenty, and they will simply create fake IDs to request codes for the sole purpose of tying them up for a week and reducing the competition.

New note added to the rules:

- Do not send the same code to multiple people at once. Either wait for a reply from the referree that they have or have not used your code or, if you don't hear back, wait 2-3 days before sending that code to someone else.

You are right about this when I come think about it (not saying you're wrong about others, just no comments on them) I sent out my code maybe 3-4 times but never get it redeemed, not a single 1. One user simply requested a code and in the same post gave out his/her referral code. Needless to say, my code never get used :yell: It is pathetic to see people acting so low for a mere $10! I always think if those creative and smart people can put their talents in the right direction, they will have a very bright future. Enough bitching for the day!
