I recently bought a speakout sim and added money to it and everything

but when i insert the sim into iphone 4S it goes into "SEARCHING" then it goes to no service...

3G is on, and i tried restarting airplane mode on/off, everything, I even emailed speakout customer service.. no response..

What i was thinking was a sim pin, and i tried guessing it and failed it and later on i read it was 1234, and now its asking for a PUK code.

Do you guys think if i get the PUK code it will work?

PS; my iPhone 4s is FULLY factory unlocked.

I would try calling your last service provider that you have coverage with and ask for the PUK number. Don't confuse them and give them any details about Speakout as you really didn't even get to activate the SIM yet with an outgoing call. When your phone is unlocked try again.

I've used the phone with telus before and it worked perfectly fineā€¦

Its just speakout wireless that I've had the issue with.

Plus its not the phone that has the issue. It's the sim card thats locked out

I didn't know what a PUK number was until I looked it up, apparently if you enter your SIM code wrong too many times the phone and or the SIM will be locked. If it asks for a PUK code then your service provider needs to give you the code. That's a good place to start if your hooped.

it works just fine on my iphone(which is locked to bell but by passed using gevey). your case seems like the phone is locked to a carrier(that is what i would see if not using gevey or when the gevey not doing its work).

have you tried other carrier sim like bell or rogers ?

I too have an iPhone 4S unlocked from Apple and had NO problems using the SO Sim card in it. It seems some people overthink the process such as :
What i was thinking was a sim pin, and i tried guessing it and failed it and later on i read it was 1234, and now its asking for a PUK code.

I just popped the Sim card in and away it went.
