I'm aware that ChatR is also on the Rogers network, but would I be able to use a SO SIM card on a ChatR phone(Nokia C3)?

There are quite a few reports that say the Nokia C3 is compatible with all SIMs tied to the the Rogers network. It does not seem to matter if it was sold as a Chatr/FIDO/Rogers phone. You are best to take your foreign SIM to the store and try it out to make sure though.

I just bought a Rogers Nokia C3 this week, at a London Drugs store. (It was on sale for $79.99.) They only had one in stock, and it wasn't charged up, so I couldn't easily try out my SpeakOut SIM in it at the store. However, they said I could return it within 15 days as long as I didn't activate the Rogers SIM, which I wasn't planning on doing anyway. The SpeakOut SIM works fine, and the phone is pretty good! I have not yet had a chance to try out WiFi or the data plan.
