Just wondering what kinds of things people find this data plan useful for?
I have a Nokia 5130xm which I got from 7/11. Would this phone be able to take advantage of the 3G service?

No, because the Nokia 5130 is a 2G phone.

How do you know this? I thought 850 and 1900 meant it was 3G.
So what would you use the data plan for if you had this phone?

850 and 1900 are just the 2G GSM bands it uses. You would use the data plan for SpeakOut's "unlimited" internet package on this phone, although I heard it it is really slow.
I encourage you to google "2G" and "3G" as well as "Nokia 5130" to get a better understanding on what 3G is.

I never signed up for the data plan with my 5130. Perhaps people who have can comment.
