I'm having a somewhat technical issue with my S3 that I'm hoping maybe someone else has come across and has a solution for. When I connect my S3 to my PC, it connects using MTP (media transfer protocol, I think) USB mode which means that the external microSD card in the phone is only read-only. I can edit the files from the phone directly but I, of course, want to be able to edit/write files to that microSD card from my PC. The only way I've been able to do that is if I take the microSD card out of the phone and connect it "directly" to my PC via USB adapter.

I've done some googling and it appears to be by design with Jelly Bean. There used to be an option to connect the phone to my PC as a USB drive but they got rid of it with Jelly Bean. Has anyone come across a way around this?

Thanks
