chip,
Seems Koodo's site is pretty weak. I tried to register an online account, it keeps poping out error message.

If I cancel the account, should I call them or go to the shop in person?

Thanks!

chimp,

I rooted and unlocked the ACE this afternoon, it works with SO sim now. I am a newbie for that tech thing.
and I activated my SO 10UMB on line.
I set up the APN proxy ,port, the web and email works just fine, surf ing is not bad ,and so far the google map with the GPS working oaky.

But one problem is , seems I can not receive message anymore. Should I set up some proxy for the message?

TIA

cannot receive SMS is usually a provider issue. SMS has nothing to do with data and even a phone that is 20 years old can receive SMS(if it can still take the SIM).

try to call them and ask why. nothing to do with the phone.

I am using a basic phone with SO.
Now my home internet contract is going to end, and I will be moving next month.

I decide to turn on the SO data plan to using the internet in the transition time, but I don't have a data capable phone.
what I need :
1, email + web browsing
2,Wifi
3, GPS with voice indication on turn by turn
4 Radio

Can you recommend a phone? I have a tight budget, so it needs not to be latest model, even a used one should be okay.
thanks

I bought a Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Mini Pro from Newegg earlier this month, and it does everything you want. For a price of $177.99 and free shipping, its a pretty good deal, and I'm really happy with mine.
I'm finding Speakouts data plan really good here in Winnipeg.
Heres a link to Neweggs page: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/P…..6875212152

Hope this helps,
