I have just purchased a nokia 5130 and am having a problem connecting the phone to a computer. Windows vista cannot find a driver so after looking around I downloaded and installed the Ovi Suite. The problem arises when I connect my phone via USB and when prompted I continually receive a message saying "no response from host" Any help much appreciated

A few hours later and I finally figured out that I needed PC suite instead of the Ovi suite. All is working well now

I cannot offer anything to this conversation but bitterness. I ended up moving files by microsd card because the ovi suite was so bad. Windows Vista only makes it worse. I am sorry I was not any help

I don't have any issue with ovi suite on 3 of my W7 machines with different Nokia phones(2630 and C3). In fact, it is still the only application that allows me to send SMS on my computer via the phone(for all the phones I have).

So you may try that if you want.
