On the Nokia 1208 – how does one adjust the speakerphone volume? And is there a way to turn it off and just use the earpiece? Thanks for your help – the documentation that came with the phone is so limited. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. This worked – I was able to adjust down the volume on the speakerphone – and it was during a call. I still have that other open question, though. Do you happen to know if I can turn off the speakerphone completely on the Nokia 1208 and just listen via the earpiece? I assume that this can be done – for both privacy and courtesy reasons. I don't hear it when other folks are using their phones. But then again this is my first cell phone in about six years (yup!).

As far as I know, you can only adjust the volume during a call.
