Nexus 7 LTE (2013) not connecting | Phone/Device Issues and Features | Consumer forum

Hello,

I have cut a SO SIM card - which works in my galaxy nexus phone - to size so that it fits into my new Nexus 7 (2013) LTE tablet. There, the SIM card is recognized, but the tablet doesn't connect to the network.

Customer support first told me that setting APN information would do the trick (it didn't), and in a follow up email they said that I need a GSM/HSPA device to connect (which the Nexus 7 LTE is).

This is disappointing and I wonder whether are others having the same experience. Is there a way around it - perhaps a new SIM card activated from the tablet?
