I am having problems using the 100mb data plan on speakout.

Before I go into my problem I should let you know that my UMB plan with speakout was working flawlessly prior to signing up to the new speakout data plan.

When I switched over to the new 100mb data plan, I managed to get the data to work using the settings speakout provides. All was well.

Problem: If use a wifi connection and then go outside the wifi zone and need to use data plan, the response is "No data found". If I restart the phone, the data plan starts to work again.

Any idea why this might be happening?

Thanks

I believe that is a feature, not a bug. It does not automatically go to data so you don't accidentally use your data plan when you intended to use wifi. With UMB, I suspect this feature got bypassed because of the proxy settings.

There is a a decent fix. Just download a data enabler widget, like this one, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.farproc.data.enabler&hl=en, and click it on, when your data is not working.

I have Nexus 4 and this has happened to me once since November. I would guess it's a bug in KitKat and you may be hitting it more often.

Yeah, the data enabler widget didn't work. I still need to reboot my phone for my data to work after I've come off a wifi connection.
