so i decide to stay with speakout since i never used data much anyway...

Here is my question, if now they are advertising as real data.... why can't my iphone 5 can't recognize the new speakout apn automatically?

I had to do some research before i could get data going on my phone. And Iphone don't show apn setting so I had to go unlockit.co.nz to change my apn setting.

Not big deal but just curious why can't my iphone or other phones have to put apn manually to data working?

thanks

Most phones do a poor job at selecting the correct APN. The phones are only as good as the APN information provided by the carrier. Speakout does not have it's own APN, it still needs a Rogers APN, and there are quite a few Rogers APN choices, most that work with Speakout. unlockit.co.nz uses a database provided by users, and not necessarily what the carrier provides.
