Hi, I am currently using a standard speakout sim card with my Nokia 1616 cell phone.
I bought an Acer smart cell phone which can take only micro sim card.
I am going to buy a 7-11 speakout micro sim card for my new Acer phone.
Can someone tell me if my current speakout phone number and the remaining balance of my standard sim card be moved to the new speakout micro sim card?
Thank you.

You can get someone to cut the SIM card to size, or buy a Speakout Micro SIM and get them to transfer your account over to the new SIM card. If you get Speakout to transfer from the old SIM to the new micro SIM card, you account, phone number, and balance will transfer over, but not your phone numbers.

If you get your old SIM card cut to size, you still have the old account, phone number, balance and phone numbers stored on the SIM card.

Doesn't the Speakout Acer phone have 2 sim card slots, one of each size? Just pop your old sim into the new phone. I recall doing that with my girlfriend's Acer.

But if you got your phone somewhere else and it truly only has one micro slot, then just go to one of those hole-in-the--wall cell shops and ask them to cut it for you. They put the sim into a tool that punches it out in the new micro size. Takes 2 seconds. They may charge you a couple of bucks or nothing.

The other route is to buy a new card from Speakout for 10 bucks, then call Customer Service and ask them to transfer your account to the new sim. This may take a few hours.

If you have a brand new unactivated micro sim you can call Speakout customer service and arrange for the existing account and balance to be transferred to the new micro sim. I've done the cutting and the transfer method. Transfer method is a little easier on the nerves.
Oops already stated.

Thank you for the help from everyone. Getting the info of cutting my standard sim card to the size of micro sim card, I found a template that makes the cutting much easier. The website is as follows.

It works out great and I have saved money and time.
