Sorry if this has been discussed before. I tried the search function but couldn't get it to work.

I've successfully been using a 4GB Micro SD card for months now but ran out of space and wanted a bigger one.

I've now tried several 16 GB Micro SD cards and the phone seems to corrupt the files.

Has anyone had success with a 16 GB card?

How about other card sizes larger than 4 GB?

On the Nokia site, it says it supports up to a 2GB card. I've only used a 4GB in mine. Did you try a 8GB card? I've never heard of anyone having success using a 16GB card in a Nokia 5130. The phone does have limits.

While the Nokia site only claims support for 2 GB cards, both you and I have had success with 4 GB

I've found several sites that say the Nokia 5130 has been verified as working with a 16GB card but I have not had success.

I am hoping someone can confirm success with an 8 GB card (or anything larger than 4 GB) before I buy another card.

I finally got around to buying a 8GB microSD card and it does NOT work with this phone.
