Strange thing happened. I changed my plan from minutes/unlimited browsing/unlimited text to minutes/unlimited browsing. In doing so, my data wouldn't work. a call to SP customer service to resend the data to the sim and still no data. So I installed the APN Configuration Profile and now data works again.

Is anyone else needing the APN Profile loaded to get data? I had mine off for months without issue, now, not so much.

This unlockit site worked really well for setting the APN on my iPhone 3G. Very quick and easy. Thanks again to whoever posted it first!

in your iPhone click Safari go to http://unlockit.co.nz
click coutinue. click Custom APN, Country Select Canada, Carrier Select Speakout
then Create Profile, APN Carrier Setting click install
wait few seconds to install APN in your iPhone
Then you are ready to go

Wow! Harvey thanks alot for that.
And OP I guess that yes you have to have the APN again to use data.
Also, it is not just browsing, I can confirm that I can check my mail and go to appstore and what not,
over the speakout UMP addon on my iPhone 4 locked to Rogers.
