UPDATE: Problem solved - do a "Reset Network Settings' on your phone and reload the configuration profile for the APN and it will work.

I have an iPhone 4S that I use with Petro Canada Mobility UMB. It works great with iOS 6.1.3.

Yesterday, I updated to iOS 7, but UMB did not appear to work. I went to unlockit.co.nz to install the Petro Canada APN settings, but it still did not work for me. I saw a thread from July where a couple people said they had problems on the iOS 7 Beta, but I hoped it would be sorted out by now.

I ended up reverting back to iOS 6.1.3. for now.

Has anyone else had any luck getting UMB to work with iOS 7?

To configure your iPhone use this program from Apple, worked for me a couple of months back.
BTW I upgraded my iPhone yesterday, Friday Sept.20th and have no problems with UMB.

Apple configuration program: http://support.apple.com/kb/dl1466

Thanks everyone, I'll try it again tomorrow using the iPhone Configuration Utility.

Hmm ... I updated to iOS 7 again and used the iPhone Configuration Utility to install a profile with the settings listed at http://mobility.petro-canada.c.....s/138.aspx but I am still not able to load a webpage on my Petro Canada plan with iPhone 4S. The phone is factory unlocked. It shows 3G at the top.

Could it be that Speakout works but Petro Canada Mobility does not?

Do a reset on your phone by holding the power and the home buttons together until you see the white apple logo appear on the screen. Hopefully that will fix it.

Thanks for your help again. I tried what you mentioned, but the problem remains.

I called Petro Canada Mobility and they tried to reset the authorization of the phone on their end (asking me to turn off the phone for 20 minutes and then turn it back on). Now, my phone says "ROGERS 3G" at the top and the UMB still does not function.

Very strange since I seem to be the only person having issues with iOS 7 and UMB.

I'll try calling PCM again later today.

Did you try turning off the 3G and reverting back to 2G to see if that helps?

Yes, when I turn off 3G, I see "ROGERS E" at the top. Under these conditions, pages still do not load in Safari.

So I called PCM customer support again tonight and the rep told me that UMB was not compatible with iOS 7 and that the iPhone is not a supported device. He said that I would have to forfeit the remaining days on my UMB for the month and that I should remove UMB from autorenewing in the future, unless I got a different phone. He said that a new data plan was in the works for later this year and that would probably work on the iPhone when it was available. I really regret updating to iOS 7 now.

Good news: I got it working. I factory reset my phone in iTunes, loaded the configuration profile, and UMB now works. It still says Rogers at the top, though.

I'm now trying to restore to a backup and/or sync to see if I can get my setting back and UMB at the same time.

Thanks for your help and advice, everyone!

So, as a follow up: When I restored my backup, UMB stopped working. I think it was because my network settings got messed up somehow. When I reset all network settings on the phone and reloaded the configuration profile, UMB worked again. It's all good now.

A new (used) iPhone 4s, iOS7 left me with no UMB. I tried the Unlockit app with the Speakout setting, ignoring the Speakout (Old) choice. It did not work nor did the various Rogers settings. The iPhone Configuration utility layout did not match the settings from the Speakout site. No Joy.
Then I tried the Unlockit, Speakout (Old), which I assumed was from the pre-new plans. It worked.
Unlockit Speakout (Old) is the way to go.

To use the service just visit http://www.unlockit.co.nz from your iPhone/iPad and follow the instructions on screen.

I used the one (unlockit.co.nz) not marked (old) and it worked. Maybe they have been re-labelled?
