I've been able using the GPS on a BlackBerry 8800 to work with BlackBerry Maps.
See my comments here;

I'm wondering if anyone has found an "on device" GPS program like BlackBerry Maps for a Windows Mobile Phone running Windows Mobile 6 or 6.1 that will run without a Data Plan or with the limitations from the WAP Browser on SO. I would like to use the GPS on a Samsung Jack and/or an HTC Wing with some sort of mapping application. I've tried the portable maps from Microsoft Streets and Trips and Delorme Street Atlas that work with a GPS on a laptop. They will save maps that can be read on the phones, but don't communicate with the phone GPS.

Google Maps works with the GPS on the phone with a SIM card from a Rogers Data Plan on either phone.

The GPS in both phones works as a compass and location finder when I have the SO SIM in them, but I haven't found a GPS map application that works without either wifi or a full data connection (not WAP).

The HTC has wifi and Google Maps works perfectly with the GPS and wifi — but it is of limited use since it only works when connected to a wifi system.

The Samsung doesn't have wifi so despite having a fully functional GPS, I have no map function without a data connection.

Any ideas?
