I bought one phone with a camera and was told that I can't get the pictures off. Can only send them to other phones.

Can I get the pictures off this one? Email them?

I need more info from you, What is the model of the phone? The google is pointing me to a Sanyo Katana Eclipse X, but that is only a guess.

Probably the easiest way to get pics off that phone would be to purchase a microSD card (if you don't already have one) and a universal usb card reader. Somewhere in the phones settings you will have to specify that photos will be saved to the removable card, not the phones built in memory. After that, you remove the microSD card from the phone, plug it in to the adapter, plug the adapter in to your computer, and you should find a folder with all your pics in it.
