YUP they have reverted all open ports. blocking most traffic that is not through port 80.

WHY? speakout WHY?

time to consider changing carriers, getting too used to a proper data connection?

You need to add a proxy to your configuration (10.128.1.69).

I see that their website is now down for an update. Is this when they will tell us data no longer applies as it used to? Nice advance notice.

It's not SpeakOut that does things like this. It's Rogers.

I spoke to them earlier today and they say they are flooded with calls and are working to resolve the issue. Will see what they come up with.

Works fine with a proxy.

And I cant see how jamming their phone lines complaining that you can't access 3G data on an unsupported phone, is going to do any good.

No Data all day here in Winnipeg either. I've tried with, and without the proxy server.

We should all keep calling and protesting. I believe it is a Rogers game again.

Yeah it has reverted back to requiring a proxy in Calgary as well.

Others have suggested installing a third party program to get around it. I've tried ProxyDroid on Android and while it's running, I can get emails, surf the internet, listen to online radio and watch YouTube videos. It's a little bit of a hassle to start it up but the alternative is to pay $25/month for 500MB of data through another carrier…

So why does it seem some people are able to connect with the proxy, but others, like myself, can't connect with or without the proxy?
