Just recently had my cellphone stolen, so I'm looking for an inexpensive replacement (I am a teenager, and am paying out of pocket).

I was wondering if I could use the data that speakout has on the older blackberry pearl 8100? And if bbm worked? Or if regular browsing would work?

I'm slighty tech savvy , but not a genius. I can work through stuff generally if it is step by step (such as entering the APN).

Will it work(: ? Also, will texting work?

You should be able to use the Blackberry Pearl 8100 as long as the phone is either unlocked or Rogers branded. Speakout browsing should work with the correct APN settings, and just work without needing configuration , if it is a Rogers phone.

I do not believe you will be able to get BBM working with Speakout.

Texting and voice will work without needing configuration, as long as the phone is unlocked or a Rogers branded phone.

Thank you for your help (: . I decided to get an iPhone and use speakout . There are many detailed post on how to get the internet to work. Thank you though for taking the time to respond :)
