Did anyone ever try to port in another number for your PC phone? I called the customer service around 8:30am this morning and I have been waiting for more than 10 hours. Not yet done.

It can take anywhere from a few hours to a few days. Who are you porting from?
You might also want to call cust serv and ask them for status.

I'm porting from Fido. The staff of CS of PC already called me and said the porting is failed. The problem is the a/c number of my phone is "incorrect". I started using this number a few years ago but I switched to prepaid service. Now I have no idea where I can get back my a/c number. Without it, I can't do the porting.

Ask Fido for the account number or other proof that the account and phone number is yours.
SO needs proof that the phone number is yours before they will port it. Otherwise they open themselves up to fraudsters and pranksters.

I activated my Petro Can phone on Monday 12 monring around 11am & requested for transfer of my old number from Rogers at the same time.
Port in was completed the next day around the same time.
No problem occurred but just a 24 hour wait.
