Local calling area

I posted on the SO forum and was told that the local call grid for my 519 area included 519/226/416/657/905/289. I just spoke with customer service for Petro-Canada Mobility and she told me their local call grid for 519 included only 519/226. Any users out there that can confirm which is correct?? My Bell Mobility prepaid runs out within a week so I would appreciate the help in making my decision PCM or Speakout.

Only SO has the extended calling area, however a SO customer service told me 519 is NOT part of 416/905!
I'm going to 7-11 today to find out what they can tell us. I'll update later.

I called from a 416 SO phone to a 519 area code and I was not charged long distance.

Are we sure that the extended local calling only applies to SO? I also spoke to PC customer service and she didn't understand the notion that a local calling area can extend beyond the area codes. She didn't seem all that knowledgeable was annoyed.

Can anyone with a PC phone please call 905 to 416 to 519 to see if there is long distance charge.
Thanks

I have a 416 number with SO and 519 and 905 are all local calls!
It is the main reason I went with SO since I live in 519 area near Orangeville.

Thanks dgsmitty.
I am aware of the extensive SO local calling area but I find it strange since both PC and SO are run by the same carrier yet this difference.
When I explain to people the SO local calling area, they frankly don't believe me.
I would still like someone to physically try a long distance call 905-416-519 codes and confirm that this is a long distance charge on PC (Petro-Canada) phone.
Thanks

Ikecanada: did you ever find out if Petro Canada has the extended local calling areas?
