I just bought a new unlocked android device, where there is no techincal help on how to set it up. I can get access to google, but nothing on gps, "Places" android market and anything else requiring data. The customer service support told me he has the Apple 3g and everything works even you tube.
Here are the Apn settings that i have inputed based on other threadsm for speak-out as i've been told they are the same from the petro-can rep:

Name: Petro-Canada
Apn: goam.com
Proxy:10.128.1.169
Port:80
Username:wapuser1
Password:wap
Server:not set
MMSC:http:/mms.gprs.rogers.com
MMS proxy:10.128.1.69
MMS port:
MCC:302
MNC:720
Authentication type:gives me the choice of non, pap, chap
APN Type:internet + MMS or Internet only

Can someone help me please?

android can be difficult. it depends if the app honour the 'proxy' or try to go directly. if it goes directly, it would not work. try root your phone and install autoproxy which basically route all your 80/443 outgoing port request to the apn proxy.

Not that tech savvy to be able to tell you if the app honours the "proxy", but i can tell you that everything works fine off of wifi.
How do i root phone and install autoproxy?
Thanks again

I have the S2 and have nearly everything working.

You do need to root and install auto proxy. Root at your own risk (google for info and how to do it).
