All phones that Petro Canada currently sells are 2G phones, so that is the speed you will get.

If you use a 3rd party 3G phone, you can get 3G speeds, but there are occasions and some areas in Canada where you can still be bumped down to 2G. You are paying for 2G, so anything faster should be considered a bonus and not an entitlement.
