Well, this doesn't look good:

I did not see anything about what's going on with SpeakOut; maybe they are going to sell both.
It's bad enough that 7-Eleven moved out of Ottawa; I will have to go and do some research on Mobilicity. Maybe the dream of the $25/year cellphone was too good to be true … maybe I should try to be more optimistic, too.
Added bonus: SpeakOut website claims that it is down for maintenance. A coincidence, of course.

Don't think it's a huge deal. 711 already sells virgin phones along with speakout.

At least for now, Mobilicity's offerings don't seem to be targeted at the low-use market, so they're not direct competitors to Speak Out.
