I heard about SO today so I drove to the nearest 7-11 and asked the clerk where the cell phones are. He says to me "that promotion is over". So I asked him what he meant, and he says "we don't sell phones anymore". I walked around the store and couldn't find any…
What's the deal? This was in Brampton.

The clerk is an idiot. (See the official 7-11 SpeakOut website.) Try another 7-11 store.

lol. I think I'm just going to try again at the same one, because there aren't any other 7-11 stores nearby.
I didn't see any phones when I looked around but I'll look harder.

LOL, I guess we will always be hearing of such stories, because after all the same place sells peperoni sticks and cell phones. It's not like walking into a Rogers store, but sometimes it's better not having to hear all the crap that you need a plan and bla bla bla.

So I went in to the same store today, and the phones were behind the counter – I asked the clerk (different one from before) for one and bought it with no problems. All they had was the 1280 but that's good enough for me.
So for anyone in a similar situation make sure you look behind the counter and/or come back later when a different clerk is working.
