I saw the 5200 at the 7-11 on Islington, North of the Queensway. The lady at the counter seemed friendly & knowledgeable about the SO plans.

Bought my phones at the Islington location, 5200 is still there. Woman was very helpful, searched through the boxes looking for 416 # phones.

Why are so many people interested in the 5200? Is it a better phone or what…

well, it the most expensive phone that speakout has and its the only phone that has mp3 player.

Anywayz, i called the sapdina/bloor 7/11. The guy goes yes we will be getting 5200 and yes if you buy 2 $100 cards you get 5200 for free. When i went there, and asked the guy to see a 5200. He hands me a 2670 and says isnt that the 5200. lol what kind of service is this. And i had made up my mind, so i asked if i could buy the 2 voucher of 100 doller, can i get that for free(2760). He says yes ofcourse. Then when he went to put the numbers in, and he called his manager and i spoke to him on the phone and he says he cant do that. Then i got pissed and said why would you tell me over the phone. So anyway i walked away with 2 voucher and 2670 for a total of $255.00. I know i should of walked away, but i was tired of running around so i decided to buy it anyway. And its not that bad of a phone, pretty basic and thats what i like about it. BTW could i change the volume, i mean i have to press against my ear hard for me to hear the other person on the phone and lol my hearing is fine.

the reason that i bought two was so i could get 5200 for free. The guy said thats not possible, so it never occured to me to get $74 off 2670 and get another one for free since i bought another voucher. Lol, i forgot, but i even dought the guy would let me do that.

Has anyone seen a 5200 in recent weeks? My local 7-11 had been saying they'd be getting some in, but a more informed-sounding manager overheard and said no, the Speakout has discontinued the 5200 and there will be no more. It's still listed on their website along with the new offering (1680)…
