I'm about one month away from the expiry of my Bell contract. I have decided that a 'pay as you go' GSM service best meets my needs. It would appear from my inquiry that 7eleven SpeakOut will work well for me. Monitoring this forum, phone availability appears to be an issue. Is it possible to purchase a package now if I find the phone of choice, then delay in activating the service until my contract with Bell expires?

When you buy airtime, it expires 90 days after purchase. I do not think there is an actual expiry on an unactivated sim. If so, I am sure speak out would be more than happy to activate it. It would be retarded business policy if they did not.

I would have once argued the longer you wait, the better the phones get. Then they decided to sell locked crap like the Nokia 1661. I think all their new stock is now locked
