I am wondering if I can buy the phones in Toronto and change it to a 514 number as I live in Montreal.

Anyone knows how to check the numbers for the closest 7-11 in Toronto to see if they have stock?

There is no problem with or fee for changing numbers to another area code. However, you can only buy airtime topups at a 7-11 store. If there are none in Montreal this could be a problem unless you have a friend who can buy them for you.

There are many 7-11s in the GTA. You can find them by doing a Yellow Pages lookup and then phone around for availability.
