This must be a local cash register problem.

I also bought airtime yesterday, just outside of Toronto, Ont., and there is no validity period printed on the voucher. The voucher does say "$25/$50/$75/$100 all expire 365 days after activation." The date & time of purchase are also printed on it.

Unfortunately the CSR on duty @611 was no help this morning since she thought there was no validity period and I didn't have time to pursue the matter. :frown:

I don't know who to believe either, I got an email from the Speakout Wireless rep stated as follows:

"We are in the process of standardizing all our vouchers to stating 90 days which is now standard for vouchers with or without expiry dates noted on them"

If our voucher doesn't have an expiration date, what happen if we use it 90 days after purchase?

I would not chance it, unless you want to see the airtime voucher expire, and you lose the money associated with it.

I received similar mail stating its 90 days.
I have complained to them that none of the store clerks know these fats and better inform them.

Was also confused. Called customer service twice and got different answers for the same question. One CSR said there was no time limit for adding the air time voucher to my account. Another said 90 days. I sent Speakout an email requesting they confirm and they replied it is 90 days.

I just used it after 83 days. So I am sure its 90 days. Received similar reply from SPK stating its 90 days.
why its taking so long for all the stores to be notified about this change? Its confusing.

New term for REFILL:

"You must add your 7-Eleven SpeakOut Wireless refill card to your 7-Eleven SpeakOut Wireless account within one year from the date of purchase, as the Card/PIN expires."

One year validity is confirmed by speakout wireless, and here is the email response:

Hello,

Thank you for contacting SpeakOut Wireless. Our airtime vouchers will not expire for over 365 days. If you decided to keep a voucher for an extended period of time, we recommend keeping it in a safe place as it cannot be replaced if it is lost. Also, write down the voucher and PIN number in ink as it tends to fade over time.

That information can be found on the "Terms" page on the official site.
