The popular 7-Eleven promo is back. This promotion involves a $74 discount off any phone with a $100 airtime purchase. This typically means that the cheapest phone (currently the Nokia 1208), which comes with a SIM card with $5 balance pre-loaded, will be free with a $100 airtime purchase. The deal will run from November 16, 2008 to the end of 2008.

See here for common Speak Out FAQs.

Please discuss in-store availability in this forum.

I don't see the 100.00 free phone deal. I bought the Petro Canada 59.00 1208. It was a great deal, but the phone number on the flyer they give you is wrong. I used the manual. They have a ten dollar coupon and 25 coupon.

It's a good deal and excellent customer service.

The 100.00 free phone thing probably won't come back. It was too good a deal.

As discussing in this thread, the popular 7-Eleven promo is rumoured to be returning. This promotion involves a $75 discount off any phone with a $100 airtime purchase. This typically means that the cheapest phone (currently the Nokia 1208) will be free with a $100 airtime purchase. If speculation is correct, the deal will run from November 16, 2008 to the end of 2008.

You didn't see the "Buy a $100.00 airtime pin, get the phone for free" promo because it hasn't started yet. It's only November 10, and the rumoured start date is November 16th, six days away.

That promo has been run multiple times by 7-Eleven. It has not been a one shot deal.

Just reserved a couple of new phones and will pick them up on the 15th of November.

$75.00 price reduction [per phone] makes the deal better than I can get through Petro Canada at the moment.

I know. It's such a great deal. I bought my $100 top-up in August, and the free phone I chose was a Nokia 1208. I am very happy with it.

I want to get in on this promo (need a phone for my wife and I)and I know my local store doesn't seem to have much stock, maybe one or two of each phone. Figure if I go early I may have a chance to get two. They are open 24/7 so will this deal start at 12:01 a.m. local time on the 16th? Also if the store doesn't have the phone you want can you place an order for instore pickup? When I was asking about prices today the manager said the price for the Nokia 2760 was $90 instead of $100 stated on the web site. Thanks

If s/he is truly the manager then you should be able to ask them to hold two phones for you on the 16th (or whenever they get new stock) so that you don't have to keep checking. Offer to leave a deposit if that's what it takes to demonstrate that you're serious.

It's 1:00 am here in London Ontario. I stopped at my local 7-11 to pick up a speak out phone, but was told the special doesn't start until the 16th.

Also, there might be some delay time until the Dallas office sends out the new price lists. So it might some time after midnight before you can get one of these phones.

Do you have to buy 1 x $100 voucher or is it possible to get 2 x $50 or 4 x $25?

It depends on who sells you the voucher :)

I heard of people able to get the 2 x $50 voucher. When I bought mine, the girl would only sell me the $100 voucher.

The store locator on the 7-Eleven site has never shown phone numbers, just addresses.

Whitepages.ca is a good site as well.

Thanks. Looks like I'll have to shop around then. :)

Btw, does the SIM card itself come with any credit?
