I emailed Speakout and they replied saying you must activate this "special" $100 voucher before the end of May in order to get the bonus $25 airtime added to your account.

is the additional $25 added when you activate the voucher? The store I went to insisted I needed to buy a new phone to qualify – I am thinking they have their offers mixed up?

I bought the $100 voucher in the store and then activated it on the website. It immediately added $125 to my account. There was no need to discuss it with anyone.

Does the voucher have to be purchased within the promotion period to get the bonus or will any $100 activation during the time period be eligible?
I am trying to make a deal with someone selling a $100 voucher and was wondering if I might still get the bonus. Not sure what date it was purchased on.

I think that the promotion is valid based on the date you apply the voucher, not the date the voucher was purchased.

I would think it's based related to the date the voucher was purchased on, but a quick call to SpeakOut customer service would be better to ask.
For instance, a voucher purchased before the promotion would not have the extra airtime, but now since that promotion is on, the extra time would be added. Promotions for anything or any service or always time-related.
Keep in mind you have to apply the $100 voucher before the end of the month to get the bonus airtime, because that's when the promotion ends.

It works on vouchers purchased before the beginning of the promotion. Purely by chance on May 1, I activated the $100 voucher I purchased April 9 in order to get my dad the 1/2 price C3. Presto Chango – $125 credit added. Made the whole thing an even better deal – and it was a darn good deal to start with.
