it does come w/ a card

I am really interseted in this 7-11 deal. I have a Motorola phone (Razer) with a SIM card from Rogers….will it work for 7-11, or do I have to buy a phone?

OttawaDave, you will need to buy a phone because you cannot buy a SpeakOut sim separately. But it's not that bad of a deal.
Look at it this way:
Cost $75 plus tax (cost of the phone+sim $75 + $25 of airtime – $25 discount)
You get:
$30 in airtime ($5 startup airtime + $25 you purchased)
Speakout SIM (SIMs usually cost about $25 from other companies)
An unlocked Nokia 1600 phone – which you can either use as a backup or sell on Ebay.
Sure the phone is a cheap phone that only works in N.America, but it's brand new and unlocked. If you get $20 for it, you're breaking even.

Or you can buy a SIM from someone selling it on this website.

For the June promotion, can we add up the discounts toward a SpeakOut phone? For example, if I make three airtime purchases can I get $75 off any SpeakOut phone ($25+$25+$25)?
TIA

Probably not. It hasn't worked that way in the past, so I'm guessing it won't work that way in June.

Did SpeakOut have similar promos in the past? I hope we can add the discounts. I'm interested in either the 5300 or the 2760, but I don't want to pay the difference from the basic 1600. If I could add the discounts I can buy extra airtime and get a good phone too.

The SIM should work, unless Rogers did something silly or something. Can't see them doing that though.
Try finding a friend with a Rogers or SpeakOut SIM and try their SIM to see if it works. If that doesn't work, then take the phone back and see if you can exchange it for another 5310. If it does, then maybe there's something wrong with your SIM.

It is possible, but YMMV. Back in December when they had the $100 air time for $75 off the phone, I bought @200 airtime and got the flip phone (was $125) for free.

Does anyone know if there are any free phone offers in the tube? The June offer is not much of a deal if I cannot combine the discounts.

I too can no longer wait for the "free phone" offer. I have gone to Petro Can and bought a Nokia 2630 for $100 which includes an extra $20 air time credit (their current promotion). I will report back in the Petro Can forum on my experience in a few weeks.
Actually, my wife is thinking of switching as well. So, if the "free phone" offer is back, or if there is a "free sim" offer, I will buy definitely get one for her.
