I am VERY new to all of this cell phone stuff. I have a Blackberry and plan with Virgin Mobile for my 'home phone' because it was the most economical. I need a second cell phone for my kids so that they can call me or help if needed and then we are not fighting over the home phone, etc.
I don't know where to start.... could you give me input about what phone (from somewhere else?, since it sounds like 7-11 ones are not so good, but also has to be 'cool' looking enough for my kids to use it!) and what plan from 7-11? I get lost when people start talking about all the options with SIM cards, different phones, etc. I really just want the least expensive (without being total junk) phone and plan for a second phone.... any input? If my answers have already been said on this site, I apologize. Most of you are in 'university' when it comes to phone/technology. I feel I am in 'kindergarten'!
Thank you.

If u want to get a cool phone, go get a second hand android / iPhone from eBay or kijiji. Any phone from Rogers is gonna work with speakout wireless.

There are so many phones u can choose from, so it really depends on what budget u have. If u want a super fast phone, go get an nexus 4 android phone. I believe a brand new one is only $300. If u want something cheaper, then a used iPhone 4 8gb. Both have a high resolutions and ur kids will love it.

I assume that you want something simple but better than the Seven-11 offerings. Check out Factory Direct.
http://www.factorydirect.ca Check under Cellular Phones --> Feature Phones.

Any unlocked GSM phone will work. Or if it's locked to Rogers, that will work too.
