Do you guys find that your airtime gets burned through super-quickly?
I as with Fido prepaid before and I find the speak-out airtime is being used up much quicker. I"ve even done a few checks (by dialing *777), and it seems to be overcharging the number of minutes sometimes.
What has your experience been??
PS – i love the expiry dates but seems like using the phone for calling/receiving calls becomes expensive!

I believe fido charges by second, while speakout charges by minutes. So if you talk for 1 minute and 1 second. That one second cost $.20.

Fido does charge by the second.
So you can expect with SO/PCM to burn aprox 20c's for each call (no matter the duration) in addition of what you would've spend with Fido (theoreticaly speaking of course, since they give you x minutes in your package, which does not roll over)

Do you get text messages? You are charged 5 cents for each sent or received. To/from USA are 10 cents and international are 25 cents.

Fido only charges by the second on its monthly plans.
Fido prepaid is charged by the minute.
